For the first time since 2002, consumers with a passion for home-cooking will be able to pick up a new Whole Foods cookbook. Not only is the new cookbook focused on healthy meals, but almost all of the recipes are plant-based, making it a vegetarian-friendly option.
'The Whole Foods Cookbook: 120 Delicious and Healthy Plant-Centered Recipes,' is a brand new cookbook set to hit store shelves on October 30th. The book is authored by Whole Foods CEO John Mackey, along with the company's health and wellness experts Dr. Alona Pulde and Dr. Matthew Lederman, and chefs Chad and Derek Sarno. As a result, the whole book is dedicated to recipes that promote healthy, plant-based eating. The book also teaches readers about different cooking techniques, how to develop flavors, and tips for mixing and matching ingredients.
For those who aren't very handy in the kitchen, select recipes from the cookbook will also be available at Whole Foods' hot bar and salad bar between November and December.
