The Whiskey Barrel Adirondack Chair Has a Rustic Aesthetic
Meghan Young — September 14, 2012 — Eco
It would be natural for the Whiskey Barrel Adirondack Chair to be mistaken for a classic Muskoka chair. They both have the same low-lying support, long arms and overall wooden exterior. Yet unlike the Muskoka version, this chair is completely made out of a wooden cask, hence its name.
Designed by Balazs Moldovan, a furniture maker based in San Diego, California, the Whiskey Barrel Adirondack Chair has an old rustic aesthetic that many people will appreciate right off of the bat. Perfect for a front porch or backyard patio, the chair would add a lot of character to its surroundings. Although it would appear to be an easy project since all the pieces are already there, Moldovan writes, "I totally forgot to put in consideration that not all pieces are alike in any shape, size or color."
