Crane operator Wei Gensheng is a prize winner in the Shanghai City Photography Competition for his stunning photographs captured while constructing the Shanghai Tower.
The Shanghai Tower is expected to be the second tallest freestanding building in the world and the tallest in China measuring 121 storeys or 2,073 feet when it's complete in 2014. Wei Gensheng photographs capture the gorgeous Shanghai skyline from various heights on the tower and during different times of the day as well, giving the inhabitants of Shanghai an unparalleled glimpse of their city. While some of Gensheng's photos are vertigo-inducing, they also offer a brief look into the construct process of the building.
Wei Gensheng's photos offer views from dizzying heights and of breathtaking skyline scenery; hopefully he didn't get into too much trouble for taking photos while on the job.
