This wearable health sensor has been developed by a team of researchers at the California Institute of Technology as a fitness tracking solution that could transform the user experience for those looking to keep an eye on their health.
The sensor works by being position on the skin and wouldn't require sporadic removal for charging thanks to its ability to harvest lactate from the sweat that's produced on a daily basis. This could enable the sensor to be worn continuously without any data-tracking interruptions for charging to allow for truly holistic health tracking capabilities.
The wearable health sensor is currently under development and, while not ready for widespread integration yet, identifies what can be done to further along the shift towards continuous health-tracking technologies.
