The Ear-Fitted Lumafit Wearable Fitness Tracker Trains Bodies and Minds
Alyson Wyers — May 2, 2014 — Lifestyle
This ear-fitted wearable fitness tracker not only trains your body, but also promotes the health of your mind. The Lumafit sensor is a Kickstarter project that boasts personal trainer, yoga breathing and heart monitor features. While most of the other wearable fitness tracker devices are designed for wrists in the form of bands and watches, the Lumafit is part of a smaller group gaining ground that goes in and around the ear.
Like other 'hearables' or ear-worn trackers, the Lumafit uses sensors and monitors motion through the head rather than the wrist. The gadget's developers are also working on three different apps to measure and improve focus, relaxation and fitness levels. These apps will be available for iOS and Android devices.
