Already wildly popular with smartphone users thanks to its traffic updates and GPS routing, the WAZE Navigation system will also help motorists with another hassle that they experience while driving -- finding the closest, and cheapest, gas station.
When a driver runs low on fuel in a neighborhood they are unfamiliar with, traditionally they would simply drive into the closest gas station they can find without really scouring the scene for deals on fuel.
However, this app allows motorists to find the closest gas stations on their route and then compare the price per liter that they will pay at each pump. If the information given by the app is not up-to-date, because the station just changed its price for example, then users also can program in the latest info to let other drivers know of the change.
