Watersquare Benthemplein will be a unique area in that it will actively collect rain water. It will be a public square that will feature a variety of attractions and things to do but also feature the green ability to recycle old water.
At the Watersquare Benthemplein public square, there's a youth theater, church and a gym, but this isn't the main aspect to the area. The public square is beautifully set up with green spaces and relaxing areas to sit but even that isn't the main attraction.
The public sphere has three basins. Two of the basins are shallow allowing for light downpours to be easily collected, while one deeper basin will only open up when there's more flooding going on.The deep basin also works as a deep sports pit for people to use.
