Tokyo-based Cocoa Motors designed and created the WalkCar, a motorized board that acts like a segway. The board is the size of an average laptop and while it features no handlebars, the user moves the board by steering with their body.
The WalkCar is extremely powerful and can be used to trek uphill, push a wheelchair or pull heavy loads. The vehicle has an incredible response time and makes avoiding obstacles a simple maneuver. In addition, the lightweight device can easily fit into a backpack or large purse making it easily transportable.
Since this design is relatively new, Cocoa Motors plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign in order to manufacture and perfect the futuristic skateboard. Besides the working prototype, there is limited information about the battery life and the noise of the motor.
