Fans of the Volkswagen Golf are going to want to take a long and hard look at the Volkswagen Design Vision GTI. This conceptual hatchback has been leaked online ahead of its official debut at Southern Worthersee, a gathering of VW cars and fans. The design study previews what the possible future of the Golf. Folks, the future is looking bright.
It's unlikely that the Volkswagen Design Vision GTI's 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, good for 503 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, will make it to production. However, the exterior and interior could very well survive the final cut. The body of the Design Vision GTI is more angular and svelte than the current production Golf. The interior has a semi-Spartan appearance with its racing-style seats and carbon fiber dashboard. It will be interesting to see which aspects of the Volkswagen Design Vision GTI (if any) VW applies to future Golf models.
