Volkswagen is readying to release the 2022 Golf R, which boasts 315 horsepower, a two-liter four-cylinder engine, a 4Motion all-wheel drive system, and 310 pound-feet of torque.
Sticking to Volkswagen tradition, the new model includes a six-speed stick transmission, along with a "seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox" that can be linked to steering wheel paddles for an additional cost.
