Gearheads Love Visteon's Reconfigurable Cluster (CES 2009)
Marissa Brassfield — January 9, 2009 — Autos
The Visteon reconfigurable clusters that were displayed at CES 2009 are an incredible glimpse into the car dashboards of the future. Rather than the static instrument panels we’re used to seeing, Visteon’s reconfigurable LCD clusters allow the user to upload their own skin-like designs and rearrange the way information is presented to the driver in an unlimited number of ways.
The Visteon reconfigurable instrument cluster is covered by a clear plastic hood, which glows red when doors are opened, blue when high beam headlights are lit and yellow when a turn signal is on.
