This series of incredibly beautiful Viking guitar designs is the work of Hutchinson Guitar Concepts. Classic Les Pauls and Explorers are converted into beautiful instruments engraved with Viking art and script. The artwork is not merely graphic; each guitar is given an engraving that depicts a story. True to original Viking art, the engravings represent pieces of folklore featuring old Norse gods, mythical monstrous wolves and Viking dragons.
One of the most notable designs depicts the story of the mythical wolf Fenrir whom the gods feared and failed to restrain with giant iron chains. A magical ribbon made by dwarves was used to restrain the beast but the story goes on to tell how Fenrir would eventually devour the god Odin whole.
