Vikas Pawar is an Indian architect who has designed a sustainable set of towers for Northern India which are expected to provide both food and shelter. The aptly named Eco Skyscrapers have a unique look that incorporates sustainable technology such as wind turbines and photovoltaic panels.
The skyscraper is designed to house families and farms using an advanced hydroponic system to cultivate crops. Speaking of water, the Eco Skyscraper would feature a technologically advanced system designed to pull the moisture out of humid air and convert it into drinking water. While Vikas Pawar certainly seems futuristic, it doesn't seem unreasonable. Judging by all of the sustainable skyscrapers that have been conceptualized recently, it is safe to say that designs like Pawar's will be the norm instead of the exception in the future.

Trend Themes
1. Sustainable Skyscrapers - The trend of designing sustainable skyscrapers incorporating technologies like wind turbines and photovoltaic panels for sustainable living and reducing carbon footprints.
2. Hydroponic Farming - The trend of incorporating hydroponic systems in high-rise buildings for cultivating crops and providing sustenance to the residents
3. Atmospheric Water Generation - The trend of developing advanced technological systems to convert humid air into freshwater for consumption in high-rise buildings to reduce the dependency on natural resources.
Industry Implications
1. Green Building - The industry that involves designing, constructing, and operating buildings that have a minimal carbon footprint and use sustainable technologies.
2. Urban Farming - The industry that focuses on using hydroponic systems to cultivate crops in high-rise buildings and making them self-sufficient and contributing towards reducing the carbon footprint.
3. Atmospheric Water Generation System - The industry that involves developing sustainable systems with advanced technology that helps in extracting moisture from the air to produce clean and drinkable water reducing the pressure on natural resources needed for water generation.
