Designer David Giametta has rescued a 1968 Vespa Sprint from the trash and created what may be the world's first Vespa Scooter Desk. The Vespa Scooter Desk is an eye-catching workstation designed using the actual hull of a 44-year-old Vespa.
Giametta found the Vespa sitting in a scrap yard. The scooter was beyond restoration, but the designer decided that it didn't deserve its current fate and decided to upcycle it instead. The goal was to give someone working at the desk the feeling of riding a Vespa "without the helmet hair." The desk uses the original seat with the handlebars being converted into a laptop stand. This seems to be the only Vespa Scooter Desk in existence, but there's probably a huge market for retro scooter furniture like this.
