The Vertical Prison by Chow Khoon Toong, Ong Tien Yee & Beh Ssi Cze
Meghan Young — March 9, 2010 — Art & Design
Although my day-to-day routine never sees me worrying about the state of jails and possible jail breaks, the Vertical Prison design strangely sets my mind at ease. You never know what could happen and the last thing a city needs to worry about is a massive breakout to live through.
Designed by students Chow Khoon Toong, Ong Tien Yee and Beh Ssi Cze, the Vertical Prison was winner of the Evolvo Magazine's 2010 skyscraper competition. Set high in the sky, the Vertical Prison would use pods to transport prisoners to and from the structure.
