The original CLA26 Vega Chair was created by Danish designer Vilhelm Lauriezen in 1956 and it was made for the Vega concert venue. It is getting another revival by Carl Hansen & Søn as the design brand updates the chair in a chrome-plated steel frame variation.
CEO of Carl Hansen & Søn, Knud Erik Hansen speaks about the furniture design, stating “Until now, these were only produced for the buildings for which they were intended, and we are proud to take part in this celebration by collaborating on the launch of the Vega Chair." It appears to be a delicate seating solution but upon close inspection, it is clear that the Vega chair is stable and durable. The brand worked closely with skilled artisans to create the chair with FSC-certified oak and a hand-polished finish.
