Sheer lace designs dominated the Valentino Spring 2012 show in a way that only the legendary Italian fashion house could do without making it seem outdated. Designers Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri explained that this collection was about fantasy and whimsy.
"Fashion is a dream, and in this moment we need dreams," said Piccioli. The Valentino Spring 2012 collection features a lot of hand painted floral prints and beautiful flower appliques made out of velvet.
The Valentino Spring 2012 show was, in the simplest terms, just beautiful. Style.com reported that was the word coming out of everyone's mouth as they left the Paris show.
Ballet flats or delicate lace up espadrilles adorned the feet of the models, adding to the overwhelming femininity of the collection.
