If you already know you're going to be feeling particularly lonely on February 14th, you might want to consider attending this Valentine's Day event. Portland, Oregon will be hosting the first ever Cuddle Con, a convention dedicated to cuddling.
Organized by Professional Cuddler Samantha Hess (the owner of Portland's Cuddle Up To Me storefront), the platonic cuddling show is a world first. The 12-hour Cuddle Convention and Valentine's Day event has a schedule including a Consent 101 class, partner yoga, snuggle parties, "close embrace" dance classes and even a poetry competition.
Described as a 100% non-sexual event, attendees must be over the age of 18 and remain fully clothed at all times. Volunteer and scholarship opportunities are also available.
