'Utomik' the subscription-based gaming service for PC devices, has announced a new cloud gaming service for 'Android' and 'Samsung TV' devices. Utomik officially launched in 2018 with a modest library of games that has since grown to a massive library of over 1,300 PC games. Now, the platform is expanding from a library of downloadable games for PC to cloud-streaming games for other devices.
The Utomik cloud-streaming application will use a "novel blend of cloud gaming and file streaming" to deliver a seamless experience to weaker devices. Utomik will not launch the entirety of its PC library on Android and Samsung TV due to the input device limitations. Many PC games require mouse and keyboard and do not support controllers whereas mobile devices and televisions are typically used with controllers.
Utomik will come to Samsung TV's as one of Samsung's three cloud-gaming partners. This means Utomik will be competing with 'Google Stadia' and NVIDIA's 'GeForce Now.'
