The oscillating motion of a rocking chair is soothing, but the stiff wooden structure of older models is anything but. The UNO Lounge Chair is a fusion of contemporary ergonomic intelligence and a timeless simplicity of form that allows the sitter to sway with absolute ease.
Diego Gutierrez Hermosillo designed this reeling recliner to be a sanctuary for the person seated within it. The wingback support serves to cushion the spine, but also to interrupt the space within a room, creating a private niche for the person nestled within.
Absolute elegance of form is achieved using a laminated 3D veneer that replicates detailed computer renderings of the rocker. The UNO Lounge Chair may evince clarity and simplicity of shape, but its calculated composition lets it double as an incredible piece of sculpture.
