Portland Oregon is known for its quirkiness, an idea that holds true to 'The Pursuit of Happiness' company based there, which offers handmade unique mugs. The company is owned by a couple, April Brimer and Pavel Cherny, who make functional "porcelain home goods." The names of their products are fairly self-explanatory, labelled the 'Bump Mug,' 'Marbled Mug,' 'Artist Mug' and the 'Melty Mug.'
Each of the unique mugs has a personality of its own, making them perfect gifts. The Bump Mug is perhaps the most different of the bunch, with porcelain balls that are painted in 22k gold decorating the sides. The Melty Mug does well in reminding one of the hotness of their beverage, with its white glaze oozing down. As all products by The Pursuit of Happiness are made in small batches and certain items must be pre-ordered three weeks in advance.
