Umit Benan's Fall/Winter 2009 collection was certainly inspired by Benan's recent move from New York to Milan.
My first attraction is the use of an older looking, scruffy-looking male model. This is a good look that I'd like to see become a trend (more beards!). The casual, layered style of these looks works well for me, and I think Benan succeeded in every piece, from the tailored suits to the beautiful worn-looking denim.
Implications - My favorite look in this collection is the blue two-piece suit that's being worn oh so well by the grey-haired model. The basketball in his hand also makes the picture pop.
