Benrus Revamps the 'Type II Dive Watch' for Modern Use
Benrus has released a new limited edition reissue of its ‘Type II Military Dive Watch’ that resembles the original line of dive watches given to the armed forces in the 1970s. The ‘Type II’ dive watch receives a new update with this reissue for modern use, boasting a 42.5mm 316L steel case, a bi-directional 12-hour bezel, and a dial that uses the same clear black and white palette that the rest of the watch is dipped in. The watch now features an additional double-domed sapphire crystal for added scratch resistance, a Soprod PO24 automatic movement, and a depth rating of 300m.
The watch is finished with a black NATO-style strap that rounds off the neutral-toned watch. Only 500 units will be produced, making this watch the brand's latest one-of-a-kind timepiece. The ‘Type II Military Dive Watch’ is available on the Benrus website for $1495 USD.
