The so-called "most twisted tower in the world" was designed by the architectural studio Aedas. The structure is located on the Xingfu Plaza in the Jiangbei District of Chongqing, China. As part of the urban skyline, the twisted tower definitely captures the attention of on-lookers with its two double-curved facades that create a playful optical illusion.
The twisted tower is officially named Dance of Light. Measuring 180 meters in height, the skyscraper has 39 stories. For inspiration, Aedas drew cues from Aurora Borealis—also known as the Northern lights. The silhouette of the building is fluid, elegant, and dynamic. Without a doubt, it creates a statement in the city's business district. The curiosity-provoking design was also intended to celebrate the technological advancements, made by the city of Chongqing.
