The Travel Corporation Presented its #TTCIWD Talks and Panel Session
Riley von Niessen — March 10, 2020 — Business
For the first time, The Travel Corporation hosted its #TTCIWD Talks and Panel Session, featuring a roster of impressive trailblazing women spanning different industries: Patricia Schultz, Roxanne Joyal, Sarain Fox, Nadine Sykora, and Ami Vitale. The event saw talks from all five women, who spoke to the work they do, how they got there, the challenges they’ve faced, and how travel has made a positive impact on their lives and careers.
Trafalgar Global Brand Ambassador and NY Times Best-Selling Author Patricia Schultz took the stage to highlight the creative process behind ‘1,000 Place to See Before You Die,’ and the hurdles she overcame in seeing the best-seller published. Women’s empowerment advocate, social entrepreneur, and CEO of ME to WE Roxanne Joyal spoke to the roots of the organization, as well as its continued social impact. Travel expert, YouTuber, and Contiki Ambassador Nadine Sykora shared her rise on the video platform, how she found her love for travel, and offered some helpful points of advice to others looking to establish themselves as influencers. Award-winning national Geographic photographer and filmmaker Ami Vitale took the stage to share the progression of her career, and the effect her subjects have had on her. Notably, she shared her experience documenting the last male northern white rhino, named Sudan, before he tragically died. Sarain Fox, an indigenous storyteller, activist, and The TreadRight Foundation’s ‘People’ Ambassador concluded the talks, highlighting her work with the not-for-profit, and how she grew her career by following her passions.
The talks were followed by a short panel discussion, which allowed the speakers to discuss their key takeaways more in-depth, and gave the audience a chance to ask their own questions. In all, The Travel Corporation’s #TTCIWD Talks and Panel Session enabled like-minded individuals to come together in support of women who’ve transformed their passions into impressive careers, learn more about their unique stories, and come away feeling inspired.
