Although you might instinctively recoil at first, the Troll Chair may be just the cozy refuge you were looking for. Danish designers Oluf Lund and Eva Paarman explain that the Troll Chair is meant for both kids and adults, and provides a place where one can be comfortable, warm, and safe.
Inspired by Dumbledore (a fictional character in the Harry Potter books), trolls, and chilly weather, the Troll Chair was crafted, according to the designers, with three things in mind: it had to have enough room for curling up with a good book, a comfortable seat when having a child on your lap, and a comfortable seat for talking and socializing. You see? The Troll Chair really isn’t as scary as it looks!
