Clarks is generally known for its classic, understated leather shoes more than being associated with bolder streetwear styles -- but its newest iteration of the Trigenic Flex aims to change that.
The Trigenic Flex first appeared in 2014. Released under the Clarks Sportswear brand, the Trigenic Flex aimed to incorporate Clarks' knowledge of leather construction into a casual athletic shoe. The first Trigenic Flex utilized Clarks' soft, paneled leather and distinctive stitching aesthetic and paired it with a thick, flexible and supportive three-part rubber sole.
These new iterations of the Trigenic Flex make a few improvements over the original. It introduces a lower ankle and subtler rubber sole, and a leather and suede stitched silhouette that shows clear moccasin inspiration. It also offers two new Trigenic Flex colorways: Midnight Blue and Rust Red.
