More and more I see cities amping up pedestrian safety by introducing more traffic lights, more sidewalks and more overpasses like the Trestles Beach footbridge. This caution call to arms is encouraging on an environmental level as well. By implementing more and more eco-friendly traveling options, our planet will be the better for it.
Designed by Winchester-based Dan Brill Architects, the Trestles Beach footbridge an entry for the Safe Trestles competition put together by Architecture for Humanity. Made out of steel plates and timber, it is a good-looking structure that requires minimal maintenance.
