'Treether' wallets from PARSEC Design Studio get their name from being accessories made from a hybrid of natural wood and leather.
The fine vegetable-tanned leather products feature the distinctive grain patterns of Rosewood, Walnut and Zebra wood, making for interesting patterns that resemble real wood grain. Types of wallets available include full-sized wallets, as well as smaller card holders. Currently, these wallets are running as part of a project on Kickstarter to bring them to the masses. As part of their campaign, the designers note: "Pound for pound, [wood as a material is] stronger than steel. If properly cared for, it will last indefinitely."
Recently, there have been many new leather products created from alternative materials. This includes mushrooms, kombucha, fruits and vegetables, as well as a variety of other natural materials.
