Appealing to the many consumers who eagerly await for the latest smartphone to hit the market so that they can get the upgrade they've been looking for, or those who are just long-overdue for one, Google launched a trade-in program.
Through the program, consumers can trade in their old phones to receive credit for their next Pixel purchase on the Google Store. Before they swap phones, Google advises that consumers factory reset their device and remove any activation locks. To get the highest value from their old phone, they should ship the device within 20 days of the trade-in, ensuring it reaches the company before their 30-day quote has expired. To get a quote, they'll have to answer a series of questions that will give Google's team an idea of the phone's value before the final inspection.
Trade-ins are currently available for the new Pixel 4a, with estimated values valid for 30 days from the date that the new phone is delivered.
