IBM and Havas helia recently teamed up to create the world's first beer derived from the process of tracking human emotions. While beer is associated with many different occasions and emotions, there is no brew that specifically captures these feelings. Now there is an alcoholic beverage that perfectly matches one's emotional state while drinking.
The beer was developed by using a tool called Watson Personality Insights. The program was used on New Year's Eve to track emails, text messages, tweets, social media posts and more in order to extract cognitive and social characteristics. The program then produced 2,800 different beer recipes based on these specific emotions. The team ultimately narrowed down the list to create '0101,' which tastes of joy and optimism.
The project demonstrates how the power of dig data and the ability to track human emotions can be used to influence the products we consume.
