J. M. Smucker Company brand 1850 Coffee is partnering with Farmer Connect to offer traceable coffee bags. The 100% Colombian Coffee bags themselves are outfitted with QR codes that can be scanned to trace the product back to its country of origin, boosting trust and enhancing efficiency and fairness in the coffee supply chain.

Once the QR code on the coffee bag is scanned, consumers are directed to the Thank My Farmer website, where they can learn more about where the coffee was grown and roasted and how it was processed. The website also calls attention to the many projects that are underway, including sustainable water and agriculture initiatives.

With its traceable coffee bags, the brand is "pioneering a new era in coffee transparency."
