Nolnet Captures the Nasty Side of War via Toy Soldier Photography
Kyle Towers — March 17, 2013 — Tech
This series of images by Nolnet is a social commentary on the corruption and violence that takes place in wars, the military and the arms trade.
This is all juxtaposed by using LEGO toys created to look like toy soldiers. It would be unlikely to see any scene such as these recreated by a child playing with toys, but unfortunately the ruthless behavior displayed by Nolnet happens in real life all the time.
One of the images that really stood out for me was the picture that depicts two soldiers holding a man's decapitated head and posing for a picture. This sort of behavior is sickening and yet is part of society. Even toys can't lighten this scene.
