The Blanco Niño tortilla chip packaging has been updated by the Ireland-based snack producer to a fully recyclable variant in a bid to transition it away from disposable alternatives.
The packaging comes as the first of its kind for the UK and Ireland, and is made using polypropylene 5 plastic resin, which is both recyclable and excellent at keeping the product fresher for longer. The product itself won't be changed with Blue Corn, Lightly Salted and Chilli & Lime varieties still being available. The products are all vegan-friendly, gluten-free and Kosher-certified.
Founder and CEO Philip Martin commented on the updated Blanco Niño tortilla chip packaging saying, "I’m looking forward to unveiling our new recyclable packaging to our customers. It’s a momentous step for Blanco Niño in reducing our impact on the environment. We saw an opportunity to develop fully recyclable packaging, and I’m very proud to say that we’re one of the first to do so.”
