This simple tooth sticker could help scientists make advancements toward a healthier future for all.
Created by Tuft Engineers, this tooth-mounted sensor can transmit information regarding one's food and drink intake using wireless transmitters. This means, that everything a subject eats or drinks and be immediately stored into a database, with little to no effort.
The tiny device is comprised of three sensors that are sandwiched together to form a 'bioresponsive' layer. While it seems complicated, the device can analyze nutritional content and other information while still remaining smaller than one's tooth, and going virtually undetected.
In addition to food detection, these sensors can be placed on a subject's skin to further analyze the environment.
