Japanese automaker Yamaha has officially unveiled the Ténéré 700 Raid Prototype, a Dakar-ready two-wheeler that builds on the brand's 2019 'T7' model.
The Tuning Fork Company developed the powerful new dirt bike with guidance from Alessandro Botturi and Pol Tarrés. As a result, the Ténéré 700 Raid Prototype arrives equipped with a variety of dirt-ready upgrades and tweaks, including new parts from the Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (or “GYTR”) such as a race ECU with a full titanium Akrapovič race exhaust.
Other notable features of the new bike include an oversized radiator, a Scotts steering damper, a Rekluse clutch, foam grips, RNS electronics switchgear, a factory-built KYB long-travel suspension setup, and a Dakar-style navigation tower. The 2022 Yamaha Ténéré 700 Raid Prototype was unveiled at this year's ICMA Show in Milan, where the company announced its plan to begin producing the model over the next year or two.
