Danish designer Morten Georgsen has created the new Tivoli collection for BoConcept. It is comprised of sculpted coffee tables that align with his aesthetic. His work is described to be “the art of finding the shortest distance between function and aesthetic.”
He brings this notion to life with a unique detail -- immediately, the Tivoli tables look heavy with a presumed travertine stone construction. At a closer inspection, it is actually crafted from concrete covered in a printed finish imitating the look of travertine. The overlay actually mimics the textures and natural patterns of the stone. Georgsen uses alternative materials to create the allure of a stone without having to deal with the heftiness of it.
