At SXSW, electric mobility service company Gotcha announced that it will be giving people another way to get around—on electric three-wheeled vehicles—in addition to the e-bikes, e-scooters and electric rideshare vehicles that it already offers.
Gotcha debuted its own app in December 2018 and is now introducing its first publicly sharable electric trike. The vehicle takes the form of a five-foot design that has two wheels in the front and a singular one in the back. With space to accommodate two passengers, the three-wheeled Trike Trek has the potential to be used for daily commutes and quickly scooting around the city. The e-trike has the ability to last about 40 miles on a single charge and travels at a speed of up to 25 miles per hour.
