ThreeASFOUR and Yoko Ono Collaborate for Spring 2010
Marissa Liu — September 19, 2009 — Art & Design
Fashion design trio threeASFOUR and Yoko Ono recently presented the threeASFOUR Spring 2010 collection. The collection was based on Ono’s dot drawings and the show included new music from Ono’s soon-to-be-released Plastic Ono Band album and a re-creation her famous art performance ‘Cut Piece.’
All of the black and white garments were made using the curvilinear construction technique threeASFOUR is known for. The trio showed a lot of clothing with sheer cut-out panels, perhaps an homage to ‘Cute Piece.’ At the end of the spectacle the three designers of threeASFOUR and Yoko Ono took a bow to thunderous applause.
