The on-demand economy doesn't really cater to health needs, but Theryon app is trying to change that. The app lets users in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens request a physical therapist when they need one. Theryon app's only catch is that the request must be made three hours in advance and during the hours of 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Outside of that therapists go wherever they are needed, including homes, offices and hotels.
All of the physical therapists on Theryon app are licensed and vetted by the startup. Each session lasts 45 minutes and costs $175. At the moment the company is out of network for all health insurance providers. However, Theryon app does provide an invoice in case your insurance company covers out of network care. The app is currently available in the iOS and Android app store.
