The Polestar 4 Removes the Back Window Feature
Swedish automaker Polestar presents a look at the Polestar 4, which is a five-door electric SUV coupé. The most notable feature is more of a lack of as the new model is free of any rear windows. It is launching in the Australian and European markets following the Chinese launch that took place last year.
The elimination of the window is done so by relying on other technological advancements including the roof-mounted camera at the back for a clear picture. Head of design at Polestar, Maximilian Mossoni notes, "Normally, you need to provide for a good rear view with the inner rear-view mirror. We have realized that the technology has reached a point where you can switch out the physical mirror with a digital display and an HD camera."
