The Knoll Ridge Cafe by Harris Butt Architecture features the best of both worlds -- an incredible winter alpine view and a rocking summer desert escape. The unbelievable view offered by the Knoll Ridge Cafe is located at Whakapapa Ski Field on Mt. Ruapehu, Tongariro National Park and offers a wide range of seasonal delights.
The New Zealand locale has pristine skiing during the winter months and an amazing hiking landscape throughout the rest of the year. The mirrored windows allow the building a chameleon-like ability to blend in with its surroundings -- regardless of season. This makes the building perhaps more gorgeous than any other design as it effortlessly blends into the incredible nature surrounding it.
