The Bands is not to be confused with anything musically-inspired. Instead, it refers to a unique sauna experience designed by Students from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. Located by the sea with the Norwegian mountain landscape as its backdrop, The Bands form long wooden lines down a rocky surface, which most likely inspired its name.
Complete with a sunken hot tub and picnic terrace, The Bands was initiated by the Scarcity and Creativity Studio, a design studio within the mentioned Oslo School. It provides a relaxing destination that is quite different from similar spas. Swipelife writes, "This one of a kind sauna is located on the quay of Lofoten which used to be a fishing village. The whole thing looks like some kind of three separate cabins that reference the three present structures on the quay."
