Female-Focused Sneaker Redesigns

Nike remains relevant through its iconic works and undeniably great collaborations over the years, and now the brand is launching a new series entitled 'The 1 Reimagined.' This new collection reimagines the brand's two iconic styles, the Air Force One and the Air Jordan One, to be directly suitable for the modern-day woman. Rather than recreating the shoes with new colorways, the actual shoes are re-designed to craft this new concept of sneakers. Geogina James, Nike's senior creative director states, "One of our key objectives [when developing this collection], was to deliver something for the consumer that she'd never seen before, based on the Air Force Ones and the Air Jordan Ones."

There are a total of 10 new styles, segregated into five different themes -- The Explorer, The Jester, The Lover, The Rebel and The Sage. The explorer personality features components such as utility reflective layers. The Jester has really thick, chunky soles with an off-center detail. The Lover features an ankle-strap Mary Jane, while The rebel has lace on the back, and finally, The Sage is very minimal.

All 10 styles of The 1 Reimagined collection will be released in some New York City Nike locations on February 7th. On February 9th, the rest of the collection will be launching on the Nike SNKRS app.
