In addition to year-round classes, TechGirlz runs a seven-week entrepreneurial summer camp that allows young girls to experience an immersive curriculum that introduces them to everything from revenue models to coding.
Founded in Philadelphia, the summer program targets middle school-aged girls and in addition to educational material, the program also builds confidence in the participants and allows them the chance to interact with successful women who have carved out a career for themselves in the field.
TechGirlz is an extremely important initiative in terms of encouraging young girls to cultivate and maintain a dedication to their childlike curiosity and an interest in science and technology that usually disappears during high school.
