BMW Motorrad and Alpinestars have just launched an exclusive partnership to develop top-of-the-line airbag safety clothing and systems, with the first product from this exciting new collaboration set to be an airbag waistcoat that uses Tech-Air airbag technology.
The airbag component is controlled by a small electronic unit that is housed in a durable and waterproof casing. It uses a special algorithm to detect danger -- a function that is made possible thanks to expertise borrowed from the MotoGP engineering circuit.
