Created for an exhibition scheduled to open in London at Southeby's this week is this piece titled, 'Entitled F**k You and the Horse You Rode in On' by Kelly McCallum. (The F word is fully spelled out in the actual title.)
This piece was created by Kelly McCallum using a Victorian African grey crowned crane.
Implications - The idea of the work of art is about the Victorian era people's obsession with anything exotic. Back then, exotic animals were captured, as people of the Victorian era tried to domesticate them as if they were house pets. McCallum uses the featured rare bird with a saddle on its back to portray this era's obsession.
While the name is a bit terse, it is quite a beautiful art piece.
