Design studio Taste Space has designed a Bangkok cafe into an experiential coffee house. The coffee house 'Paga' is located on a busy strip in Bangkok's Watthana district. The space is a cafe as well as an in-house roastery.
The designers drew on the process of coffee roasting to inform the cafe's aesthetic. They were inspired by the actual mountains where coffee beans are cultivated and used this idea of grandeur to inform the large, three-storeyed storefront. Each floor serves its own purpose and has its own story. The third floor is where coffee beans are stored, and symbolizes the peak of the mountain. The second floor is completed with seating areas for customers as well as the actual coffee roasting machines. While the first floor is completed with the triangular bar. The storefront is completed with glass walls, which allows customers to experience the roasting process first-hand.
