Swimmers looking for an easier way to track their lap times will love Swimtag. Swimtag is a new online service that collects your swimming stats. The system works using a bracelet and a corresponding ID card that tracks split times, stroke rate, stroke type and the number of lengths swam. The stats can then be viewed online to help you monitor your progress.
The stat tracking aspect of Swimtag is awesome, but where it really wins is in the social arena. The Swimtag site allows you to interact with other Swimtag users and challenge them to swimming competitions. Swimtag was developed by the U.K's 222 Sports Limited and is currently unavailable on this side of the pond. Here's hoping that Swimtag makes the jump to American pools sometime soon.
