UK label Mark & Spencer just launched a swim apparel line specifically designed for their Muslim consumers.
Known as the Burkini, Mark & Spencer's new swimwear range features full-length swim apparel offered in two chic designs. While one is a blue and navy design that features floral embroidery on the chest, the other is an all-black look with a multicolored paisley pattern on its shoulder. The garments cover the whole body with the exception of the face, hands and feet without compromising style or comfort.
While most pieces of swim apparel are designed to utilize as little fabric as possible, Mark & Spencer's Burkini collection is designed to protect the modesty of Muslim women.
